Unique Startup Stories (7/20) Forget SpaceX, India have it's own Private Space Company called Skyroot Aerospace So It was founded in July 2018 by Pawan Kumar and Naga Daka in Hyderabad, both former scientists at ISRO. It helps to launch small satelites to low earth orbit at much lower cost and faster. While it takes about 6 months for isro to launch a satellite, it can do it in a week's time Founders believe that the per kg launch cost for a satellite can be brought down to $10 from $5000 today¹ Rockets They have made 4 rockets untill now and have also successfully tested one rocket on 18 Nov, 2022 launching 1 satellite into space. Future Plans Later they plan to help bring satelites on ground and also clean space waste Funding They have raised $95 Million at $509 Million valuation. (Mangalyan costed $73 Million for reference) Government also launched "inSpace" to help, guide and regulate such private space companies. It's great to see india rising in Space Race! 🚀
