Know the difference between a Teaser Deck & a detailed Pitch Deck - Teaser decks are meant to be self explanatory slides of upto 4-5 slides smoothly but concisely defining your big idea to solve a problem for a market. Add who is on your team too. The purpose of a teaser deck is to pique interest of the reader. A teaser deck should not be more than a 1 min read, and should not have details of finances or product roadmap and such. Ideal for early stage introductory exchanges. A detailed Investor Pitch Deck on the other hand should be tailored to your funding stage as well as to the particular investor. At max a solid detailed deck should not me more than 15 slides. It should cover your opening statement, problem, solution, market size & validation, traction, competitors & your USP, business model, team, GTM, product roadmap, funding ask and use of funds! That should be more that enough. Ensure you sequence and bundle your slides depending on who you are sending it to. 🚀
