Yesterday I met someone who was 19. Reminded me of myself - young, ambitious, rebellious, and with no direction. Here are 7 helpful lessons I’ve learned the hard way since that age 1. Passion is great, but direction is key. Aim that fire towards a specific goal, even if it changes over time. 2. Focus on Nurturing good relations. They'll compound over time and become your secret weapon. 3. Don't compare your journey to others. Everyone's path is unique. By the time you are in your 30s, most people will have switched to a different career path. 4. Don't be afraid to fail. It's how you learn, grow, and discover what works for you. 5. Learn to say no. You are young and ambitious, people will manipulate you. 6. Embrace your weirdness. It's what makes you, you. (most important) 7. Save early, save often. You'll thank yourself later, trust me. Whenever I feel lost I close my eyes and say “You can't always connect the dots looking forward, trust the process”
