Have you used Event Beep which came on Shark Tank India S1. They had exactly same feature. so there they use to invite people and also individuals had the option to create there own voice channel as well. But it didn't worked well. Do you know why? Or have you considered challenges which come with Voice channels. I strongly believe that current setting if fine with little fine tuning the algo and personalised feed most issues will be resolved.
