Coursera and udemy certificates are still valued? Like litteraly anyone can buy their courses and scroll and get certificates and not actually have hands on knowledge about those.

I completely agree with Jeff in this.
We often just look at people's net worth and think about how much money they made. But we don't consider how much money they made for others.
For eg:
1) Sequoia's $12.5 million investment in Google in 1999, and
