Hello bhaio, I'm in need of trademark expert advice. I wanted to start a business of dry fruits. Can I trademark or register the company (not a product) name like, "Almnd Factory" ..??? ( See I removed O from almond and it still pronounced as Aalmond It'll be a private limited company. My packaging idea will be to use, "Almnd Factory" as a Trade Mark. Is it possible to use common commodity names as a trademark..??? Or can we register a company name like "Almnd Factory" ...???

You can register the company or do the trademark for it, as long as it is non dictionary, unique and there is no other similar name in the registry. Check vakilsearch or indiafilings to know if the name is used somewhere _S
