Reasons why subway did not fly: a. Timing was not correct when they entered in India. b. People in India love eating hot meal not cold meal and Subway sold cold salads and subs which did not work in India market. c. The brand positioning has gone wrong though they have now introduced hot grill subs but because of the wrong positioning people don't want to try. d. Love for exotic Salads in India is growing but then subway has not introduced variety in salads. It's very basic and not serving exotic Salads. e. Their revenue contribution is majorly from the outlets located in premium areas. PS: I personally love eating subs not their salads.
