The situation didn't turn into his favour. He did what others didn't. He was a military general and observed the depression closely so he knew that thiese industrialists need loan so that's why he started his bank. Others Bank didn't did anything, they wer happy by charging customer money for keeping their money. He also had to face regulation later but he found loopwholes and escaped from it.
