Yes ,india is has lot of shoe manufacturing companies who makes good quality shoes for low prices . All you need is a good marketing strategy to make the products and brand Image as a symbol of winner and quality.(just like Nike and Adidas).

Yes but how exactly is your task to think. My 2 cents is that the legacy brands are not very flexible and cannot change their business every now and then according to the trend. Maybe that can be leveraged.

Actually there re many startups here in india right now, some are reselling brands but some are brand new comet, super kicks and much more are doing great actually. I liked comet very much actually they are very good. Still there is a gap but you need to make a specific niche brand first and expand it over the years. Sneakers are very very luxury kinda brand. So keeping it in your vision and with great marketing and initial traction. You can do it.

Start a sportswear brand and capture the market at grassroot level. Build from there.

Flatheads and other new indian brands are doing it too. Infact legacy brands are losing market share in India.
