The thing is canteens Usually don’t have sufficient stock for all the kids by the end of lunch breaks, how can they reliably provide food for outside, secondary problem like imagine a scenario where delivery partners are buzzing near colleges. This is good for a personal hobby project dont Try and scale it lol. It is impossible, there’s no economics whatsoever, price mei kitna kheloge? Find a genuine problem. Bachhe college jayenge toh khane ka issue toh sort waise bhi ho gya. Zomato/swiggy mei thik se dhundo toh 120-40 mei aa jaata hai.

Actually we have a similar startup similar to this in our college and it is actually gaining a reputation slowly but still this model might not be sustainable as the only customers are students

Great idea, but since there us already a canteen in the college, why do students order food from the app?has a student I believe that typically, students go to the canteen to have discussions while eating, right? So, if the app is introduces, most students would still prefer to come and eat in the canteen. Additionally, some of the canteens doesn't serve tasty food. It's just my perception. Correct me if I'm wrong.

There are canteens and food courts in my college which serve foods at a very high cost, but the street food stores in front of our campus provide more tasty food at less price than the price in food courts and canteens.

The idea and concepts are good but the problem comes in scalability and constomer retaining and for long term it may not be sustainable.

Even we were thinking something similar for office + Studnets , but you'll be stuck between 3 body problem , You have to maintain the cashflow While maintaining the commision and other hand delievery charges ..while managing the expense of team . Good for small, but not scaleable..

Homemade meals by zomato is a cheap option for college students. Im a second year student at nmims and i frequently order my food from the homemade meals and it costs me somewhere around 150 for a decent meal. The idea is good but its not scalable because you are limiting your customer base with the idea of only providing the service to particular students. Idea: Many Students/Office workers/People living away from home living in hostels and pgs prefer having foods like pizzas and burgers rather than indian food. The pgs and most college canteens dont provide this kind of food and even if they do it has just got no taste. So if you could deliver a affordable alternative for the same think about it! Can do it in sole proprietorship, no need to involve any investors because it's not that much scalable what investors want.
