I think students get lazy and not put in the work once they get into IIT's and somehow they get superiority Complex that they are the best. Alongside a student from tier 2, 3 clg put in a lot of hard work coz they regret that they didn't make it to IIT.

According to wahan ke ek prof, alot of students are rejecting offers because they are not at par with those recieved by students in private institutes

More than 70% are reserved candidates.... That could be one of the reason as there is a lot of competition.
