I understand your issues . Do what makes you happy also think from your parents side only don't hear anyone else. just sit down and talk with your parents maybe tell them your interests and ask them what are their plans.
After knowing that people of your age are earning 2x, 3x and in some cases even 5x of your salary, what are your first thoughts that come into your mind?
