WHY DOES INSTAGRAM ND FACEBOOK HAVE THEIR OWN IN APP BROWSERS. is it just to track users activity in those websites. Or they wantedly make bad In app browsers just to get basic work done and Get back to using the apps. Every app is designed to make user spend as much time as they can on their apps. And if someone clicks on any link and it goes to outside browser or the app itself. Now that is a consumer left the app. Imagine billions of customers leaving the platform for every click. Thats huge setback. Via this in app browser, websites get their traffic and insta keeps its users in the app. Are my views correct?

Hey let me tell you something, all these social medias are free to use but it does take millions or billions for maintenance. So the question what we get is "why is it free?" Many tell that they steal our valuable time but which is false. What they steal is our data, and yeah having a seperate browser with seperate cookie and data settings is why they made it for. End: if something is free, then remember you're the price

First of all, chrome is an open source project hence these "in all browsers" are based on chrome only and didn't require much effort for integration. Secondly like you mentioned, it ensures high retention because you can revert back to the app once you are done with web page and not wander away.

hey, just wanted to share my experience. Something really creepy happened with me today. I was talking to my sister in real life about black magic and stuff , very generally. After 5 mins I opened insta and my whole fyp out of nowhere was full of blackmagic reels. Insta listens to us.
