I have never really understood why and how apps like hood and hunch have close to a million users. Hunch is literally a polling app and hood is basically twitter. The fact that they are still growing baffles me. Anyone knows why?

I have a hunch, VC analyst must be taking some % cut to approve funding. Else there wouldn't be so many bogus calls. Any thoughts ?
