Both streams are very good, it is more of what you're passionate about.
But I personally think, commerce is very versatile and interesting. It provides more idea of how world is functioning currently and how to analyse complex situations.

Mixpanel is not very reliable. Use it only for ecommerce and d2c usecases. For large volumes and complex event structures it’s inaacurate af.
