Bro without label you can't release any songs to streaming platforms ( that is main thing) and that's the thing I am talking about

No I think here you got it wrong I'm an artist and I use amuse as my distributor and see label is optional when we upload the music on distributor plateform if there's no label backing solo artist then distributor represents solo artist as a new label... This is the truth

I know about that but managing that isn't in your hand and the thing I meant in my post was why is label there the whole thing should be done by the artists, the distribution chain is messed up and releasing a song is complex too and why do artists pay to labels. Think about it
