Now the GOI is realising this, can you even imagine how scary it is for upcoming businesses, if they start and after scaling to large audience the government realises same thing ( after years ) and BooM your hard work is done !!! Weird.

It is wierd. I sometimes feel that india is adapting to socialism. Though this was probobly done just to end Truecaller's monopoly and protect our data. Still like gov launched ondc earlier, government is entering all the business creted by startup and killing them. Btw, this could also be due to upcoming election in few months. After elections I don't thinkinh gov will do anything.
