But since these are based on real life performance then how is this different from sports fantasy apps?

First of all, It's a great idea dude. But the problem is, does people trust them in the long run, because, when you compare the stock market for companies with the players, both are/maybe very different entities, because, in stock markets, the companies are most likely consisting of more than hundreds or thousands of people, so the risk here is less when we compare it to the single players as a stock, also, as we know, in India, just 10% of the people in the stock market can control most of the market, so , if it happens here too, it'll be very volatile, similar to gambling. And, as it is a game of skills, we should not forget that, it also requires certain amount of luck also. And, because most of the top players will be playing almost throughout the year, the prices may go up or down on a weekly or daily basis(during IPL or ICC events).
