Ronnie is majorly famous for his startup Upgrad as we all must be familiar with. But very few people know that he is also a film producer, infact before starting upgrad he produced many movies and also founded UTV movies! Ronnie established his first business in cable television. He went into this business when there was only one channel in India Doordarshan He also established Lazer Brushes, a successful toothbrush manufacturing company. He Founded United Television (UTV) in 1990, becoming a leading production house He then Sold UTV to The Walt Disney Company in 2012 for an enterprise value of US$1.4 billion. He has also founded the Swades Foundation to empower rural communities in India.
