ubuntu is a open source os based on unix. it light so it can run on almost any machine its has a wide range of appllications you can google that 😅

Because it works on almost any machine. Great documentation, community, free, open source and doesn’t require many updates. If you know how how to use it you can easily use other things, that’s why colleges still teach that.
