Why do many petrol bunks do not accept UPI?? Even though payment with card takes a lot of time they are ready to make many ppl wait in queue. It’s not only with petrol bunks it is also true in some big restaurants etc. I have seen this a Lot in Hyderabad. What cloud be the reason?

This might be due to multiple scams like the one where they show you a code wherein your payment will go to processing and they will ask you to try on another scanner and it will succeed and eventually the processing one will also succeed in a few hours.

Try to get the petrol filled first and then just say I have nothing apart from UPI. Works everytime. You can do the same at every other place.

Mostly because they have been scammed before by fake UPI apps.

Many reasons, actually some have restrictions like don't make people use the phone. Some bunks don't have UPI because they think it's a scam or something.
