You can feel like a birdwatching pro with these AI binoculars that identify birds

Swarovski, the Australian optical instruments company, unveiled the AX Visio, a pair of AI-powered binoculars at CES 2024. Priced at over $5,000, these binoculars utilize AI image recognition technology and data from the Merlin Bird ID database to easily identify over 9,000 species of birds and other wildlife. The binoculars come with a built-in camera for capturing still or moving images, and users can share the photos and videos by connecting the binoculars to a smartphone. The AX Visio also features arrow markers on the display to help mark and guide others to interesting birds and wildlife. In addition to birds, the binoculars can identify mammals, dragonflies, and butterflies. The binoculars were designed by Australian industrial designer Marc Newson and will be available for purchase in February.
