Online travel aggregator (OTA) Yatra has released its financial results for the third quarter of the ongoing fiscal year (Q3 FY24). After sinking into the red in Q2, the company bounced back and recorded profits in Q3 along with crossing Rs 110 crore revenue mark during the period. Yatra’s revenue from operations grew 17.2% to Rs 110.3 crore in Q3 FY24 as compared to Rs 94.13 crore Q2 FY24, as per the firm’s consolidated financial results sourced from the National Stock Exchange. While compared to Q3 of the previous fiscal year (Q3 FY23), the operating revenue of the company increased over 23% from Rs 89.6 crore. The company made 40.3% of its total operating revenue via Hotels and packages bookings which grew 23.4% to Rs 44.5 crore in Q3 FY24 from Rs 36.06 crore in Q2 of the same financial year. Revenue from air ticketing increased 5.9% to Rs 41.5 crore during the same period. The remaining Rs 24.3 crore came from other operating services and advertising income from hosting ads on its website, sale of coupons and vouchers and facilitating website access to travel insurance company. Yatra also earned Rs 8.86 crore as non-operating income (mainly from interest and gains on financial assets). This took the overall revenue to Rs 119.2 crore during the quarter. On the cost front, service cost which only relates to its hotel and packages vertical accounted for 23% of the total expenses. This cost surged 68.7% to Rs 26.9 crore in Q3 from Rs 15.95 crore in Q2 of the same fiscal. Whereas, employee benefits expenses for the company shrank 12.6% to Rs 32 crore during the quarter from Rs 36.6 crore in Q2 FY24. Yatra also incurred marketing and promotion costs of Rs 10.7 crore and payment gateway expense of Rs 12.7 crore in Q3 FY24. In total, Yatra’s overall expenditure increased just 3% to Rs 117 crore during Q3 from Rs 113.6 crore in Q2 FY24. With the controlled expenses, Yatra turned profitable and booked Rs 1.06 crore profits Q3 against Rs 17.13 crore loss in the previous quarter. Last year in the same quarter (Q3 FY23), it posted Rs 5.6 crore in losses. On a unit level, Yatra Online spent Re 1.06 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in Q3 of FY24. For the nine-months period (Apr-Dec 2023), the firm registered Rs 314.6 crore revenue from operations with a loss of Rs 10.08 crore. Yatra Online made its entry into the Indian public market in September last year with a share price of around Rs 136. With a market cap of over Rs 2,700 crore, it is currently trading at Rs 170 per share. Other than this, the company is also listed on NASDAQ with a current share price of $1.64 per share and a market cap of $105 million.

The Gurugram-based firm nearly doubled its profit in Q2 FY26, with revenue rising by 48% during the same period. Yatra’s revenue from operations increased 48% to Rs 350.8 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 236.4 crore in Q2 FY25, according to its consolidated unaudited financials sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE). Income from hotels and packages was the company’s largest revenue contributor, followed by air ticketing and other allied services. It also earned Rs 5 crore from non-operating sources, bringing its total income to Rs 356 crore in Q2 FY26, up from Rs 215.4 crore in Q2 FY25. The travel aggregator allocated 66% of its total expenses to service costs, which amounted to Rs 225.14 crore, followed by employee benefits at Rs 41 crore. Additional spending on payment gateway charges, marketing, legal, IT, and other overheads pushed its total expenditure to Rs 339 crore in Q2 FY26. A 48% rise in operating revenue drove the company’s profit up by 95% to Rs 14.27 crore in Q2 FY26, compared to Rs 7.3 crore in Q2 FY25. On a unit level, the firm spent Re 0.97 to earn one rupee of revenue during the quarter. On a half-yearly basis, Yatra’s operating revenue surged 66% year-on-year to Rs 560.6 crore while the firm’s profits nearly tripled to Rs 30.27 crore during the same period. Following its strong financial results, Yatra’s stock surged 15% to close at Rs 167, taking the company’s market capitalization to Rs 2,602.77 crore at the end of today’s trading session.

The company’s revenue from operations grew 37% year-on-year to Rs 283 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 206.5 crore in the same quarter last year, according to its consolidated financial statements filed with the stock exchanges. Its total income rose to Rs 288 crore from Rs 211 crore a year earlier. The Gurugram-based company generated the largest share (43%) of its operating revenue from train ticketing, which rose to Rs 123 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 110 crore in Q2 FY25. Flight and bus booking services contributed 31% and 23% to the company’s revenue, respectively. On the expense front, ixigo’s total costs increased 52% YoY to Rs 290.4 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 191.5 crore in Q2 FY25. This included employee benefit expenses of Rs 74.2 crore (up from Rs 38.7 crore) and other expenses of Rs 212.3 crore (up from Rs 149.9 crore). As a result, the company reported a pre-tax loss of Rs 4 crore during the quarter, compared to a profit of Rs 18.3 crore in Q2 FY25. Its net loss stood at Rs 3.5 crore against a profit of Rs 13.1 crore in the year-ago period. For the first half of FY26, ixigo posted revenue of Rs 597.2 crore, up 54% from Rs 388.3 crore in H1 FY25. However, its net profit fell to Rs 15.5 crore from Rs 27.9 crore in the corresponding period last year, reflecting higher operating costs. As of September 30, 2025, the company’s total assets stood at Rs 989 crore, including cash and cash equivalents of Rs 138.8 crore. During the quarter, ixigo also entered into a share subscription agreement with MIH Investments One B.V. for the proposed preferential allotment of up to 4.63 crore equity shares at Rs 280 per share, amounting to Rs 1,295.5 crore, subject to shareholder approval. At the close of trading on Wednesday, Ixigo’s shares were priced at Rs 325, giving the online travel aggregator a market capitalization of Rs 12,686 crore.

PB Fintech, the parent company of online insurance platform PolicyBazaar, announced its financial results for the second quarter of FY26 on Wednesday. The company’s profit surged 2.6 times year-on-year (YoY), while its operating revenue grew by 20%. PolicyBazaar’s revenue from operations rose 20% year-on-year to Rs 1,613.5 crore in Q2 FY26, up from Rs 1,348 crore in Q2 FY25, according to the company’s financial results filed with the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The Gurugram-based company derived 88.5% of its operating revenue from insurance brokerage services, which increased to Rs 1,428.16 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 998.76 crore in Q2 FY25. Apart from operating revenue, the firm earned Rs 84.5 crore from interest and gains on financial assets during the quarter, taking its total income to Rs 1,698 crore for the quarter ending September 2025. PolicyBazaar did not provide a detailed expense breakdown in its quarterly financial statements. However, employee benefits expenses rose 18% year-on-year to Rs 600 crore, while advertising and marketing expenses remained steady at Rs 280 crore. Overall, the company’s total expenditure increased 28.5% to Rs 1,558.8 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 1,213.4 crore in Q2 FY25. PolicyBazaar's net profits jumped 2.6x to Rs 134.9 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 51 crore in Q2 FY25. At the end of the day, PolicyBazaar traded at Rs 1,724 with a total market capitalization of Rs 79,184.6 crore ($9 billion).

Swiggy reported a 54% YoY rise in operating revenue to Rs 5,561 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 3,601 crore a year earlier, while losses jumped over 74% during the quarter. Swiggy, the foodtech and quick commerce major, recorded a 54% year-on-year rise in operating revenue to Rs 5,561 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 3,601 crore in Q2 FY25. Despite the strong topline growth, the Bengaluru-based firm’s losses swelled by more than 74% in the quarter, according to its consolidated financial statements filed with the stock exchanges. Scootsy Logistics contributed the largest share, 46%, to Swiggy’s overall operating revenue. Its income grew 76% year-on-year to Rs 2,560 crore in Q2 FY26, up from Rs 1,453 crore in the same quarter last year. Swiggy’s food delivery business also grew strongly, rising 22% year-on-year to Rs 1,923 crore in Q2 FY26, and accounted for nearly 35% of the company’s total revenue during the quarter. Swiggy’s quick commerce arm, Instamart, also posted strong growth, with revenue doubling to Rs 980 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 490 crore in Q1 FY25. Swiggy’s Dine Out, Genie, Swiggy Mini and other non-operating income took its total revenue to Rs 5,620 crore in Q2 FY26. On the cost front, procurement of FMCG products for supply chain distribution accounted for 34.9% of Swiggy’s total expenses, rising 69% year-on-year to Rs 2,342 crore in Q2 FY26. Delivery expenses grew 30% to Rs 1,426 crore during the quarter. The company spent Rs 690 crore on employee benefits and Rs 1,039 crore on advertising, which surged 94% year-on-year. Depreciation and amortization expenses also increased 132% to Rs 304 crore. Overall, Swiggy’s total expenses for the quarter increased 56% to Rs 6,711 crore from Rs 4,309 crore in Q2 FY25. A 56% rise in total expenses, led by a 94% increase in advertising costs and a 132% jump in depreciation and amortization, widened Swiggy’s losses by over 74% to Rs 1,092 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 626 crore in Q2 FY25. For the first half of FY26, Swiggy reported revenue of Rs 10,522 crore, up 54% from Rs 6,824 crore in H1 FY25. However, its losses also widened by 85% to Rs 2,289 crore during the same period. Recently, Swiggy sold its stake in Rapido for Rs 1,968 crore to Prosus-owned MIH Investments One B.V. and Rs 431.5 crore to Setu AIF Trust and WestBridge, netting Rs 2,399.5 crore in total and earning over 2.5x returns on an investment made less than four years ago.
