Workers at Elon Musk's Boring Company have reportedly faced chemical burns from sludge while building tunnels

Workers at The Boring Company have faced chemical burns and close-call accidents during the construction of the Las Vegas tunnel system, according to a report from Bloomberg. Some workers had to work 12-hour shifts in extremely hot tunnel temperatures. During the expansion of the tunnel system, workers had to wade through mud containing chemicals that caused burns. Close-call incidents were also reported, including an intern nearly being crushed by concrete and a forklift brake failure. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration fined The Boring Company for safety violations. This is not the first time one of Elon Musk's companies has been linked to worker safety concerns.
