Elon Musk is set to reveal Tesla's long-promised robotaxi in August, prioritizing this project over the development of a low-price consumer car intended for human drivers. However, experts argue that true self-driving capability will only be achieved when Tesla takes liability for crashes that occur under its vehicles' control. Musk's ambitious vision of an autonomous fleet being deployed as on-demand taxis is contingent on the success of Tesla's Full Self-Driving system. Despite concerns over Tesla's delivery numbers and tapering growth, some investors believe the latest version of the system should generate new revenue and enthusiasm.
