WhatsApp trials Meta AI chatbot in India, more markets

WhatsApp is testing its AI chatbot, Meta AI, with users in India and other markets. With India being WhatsApp's largest market, this move highlights the company's intention to leverage its massive user base to expand its AI offerings. The AI chatbot, known as Meta AI, is designed to answer user queries directly within chats and also has the ability to generate photorealistic images from text prompts. By integrating Meta AI into WhatsApp, parent company Meta can reach a broader audience and potentially surpass its competitors. Meta also confirmed the upcoming launch of Llama 3, its next version of the open source large language model.
