WhatsApp suffers outage in India, users unable to send messages

The platform noted that 81% faced messaging issues, while 16% had overall app problems. Users also reported issues with Facebook and Instagram, all owned by Meta. A previous significant WhatsApp outage occurred in February. Additionally, India's UPI payment system faced disruptions due to technical issues, affecting transactions nationwide, as reported by the National Payments Corporation of India.
