Many startups in this sector have struggled to maintain profitability due to funding constraints, increased competition, and tighter margins. However, Nigeria-based OmniRetail has managed to achieve profitability by partnering with brands, optimizing margins through rebates and incentives, and offering working capital tools through its embedded finance platform. OmniRetail's asset-light model, decentralized warehousing, and hyperlocal logistics have allowed them to reduce supply costs and deliver better value to retailers. The company is now raising funds to further expand its operations.
