Private equity firm Warburg Pincus has appointed Jeffrey Perlman as its new CEO, succeeding Chip Kaye. Perlman, who has been with the firm for nearly 18 years and served as President since last year, will assume the role on 2 September 2024. Perlman is said to have significantly expanded the firm's franchise in Asia, overseeing its private equity investing activities in Southeast Asia and building out its real estate business across the Asia-Pacific region. Kaye, who joined Warburg in 1986, will become Chairman of the firm alongside Timothy Geithner.
