International sales growth for Walmart in the fourth quarter was driven by Flipkart in India, Walmex in Mexico, and strong performance in China during festive events. The timing of Flipkart's The Big Billion Days event, which moved from the third quarter to the fourth quarter, positively affected overall and ecommerce sales growth. Walmart International's net sales increased to $32 billion in Q4, although its gross profit rate declined due to the event timing shift. Operating expenses decreased, and international sales grew by 13%, with ecommerce sales increasing by 44%.

The event attracted around 1.4 billion customers and saw strong seller growth, with transacting sellers experiencing a 2.5x increase in business. However, the timing of the Big Billion Days sale negatively impacted gross margins. Flipkart's growth in India continues in double digits, and its digital payments platform, PhonePe, is processing over 6 billion monthly transactions and has reached 1.4 trillion in annual total payment volume.
