Veera takes on Google’s Chrome with India-focused feature suite

Veera, an Indian startup, aims to challenge Google Chrome's dominance in the mobile browser market by providing a locally focused browsing experience. Veera differentiates itself by offering rewards and games to engage users, addressing the limitations of existing browsers in terms of features, extensions, and localization. The browser claims to be at least as fast as the competition, while also providing a comprehensive engagement platform that includes content, gaming, and commerce. Veera is built on the Chromium code base but has done additional development work to prioritize user privacy and optimize for low-end Indian Android smartphones. The startup has plans to launch version 2.0, adding more content partners, expanding the gaming repository, and introducing innovative features like AI.
