Delhivery reports Rs 70 Cr profit in Q4 FY25; revenue jumps 6% Logistics company Delhivery announced its Q4 FY25 results on Friday, reporting a 6% year-on-year increase in revenue. The Gurugram-based firm also reported a profit of Rs 72 crore during the same period. Delhivery’s revenue from operations grew to Rs 2,191 crore in Q4 FY25, according to its financial statements filed with the National Stock Exchange (NSE). For the full fiscal year (FY25), Delhivery’s operating revenue increased 10% to Rs 8,932 crore in FY25 from Rs 8,141 crore in FY24. Delhivery's primary revenue sources were its logistics services, including warehousing, last-mile logistics, and designing and deploying logistics management systems. The firm also earned Rs 112 crore from non-operating activities, bringing its total revenue to Rs 2,303 crore in Q4 FY25. Meanwhile, for the full fiscal year, total income reached Rs 9,372 crore. For Delhivery, freight handling and servicing costs made up 70% of its total expenditure, rising by 3% to Rs 1,566 crore in Q4 FY25. Employee benefit expenses decreased by 6% to Rs 337 crore. Legal, depreciation, and other overhead costs contributed to a minor decrease in overall expenditure, which reached Rs 2,249 crore during the quarter. For the full financial year ending March 2025, the firm’s total expenses rose to Rs 9,217 crore as against Rs 8,825 crore in FY24. Delhivery's continued growth and controlled expenditure resulted in a profit of Rs 72 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to a loss of Rs 68 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, it turned profitable and reported a net profit of Rs 162 crore in FY25 as compared to a loss of Rs 249 crore in FY24. At the close of today’s trading session, Delhivery’s share price stood at Rs 321 per share, giving the company a market capitalization of Rs 23,957 crore.

Urban Company is preparing for a definitive initial public offering (IPO) this year. The company has taken its first significant step toward going public by converting into a public entity. The board of OfBusiness has approved a resolution to change its status to a public company and rename it from "Urbancalp Technologies India Private Limited" to "Urbanclap Technologies India Limited," according to its regulatory filing. Urban Company reportedly aims to raise Rs 3,000 crore (approximately $350 million) through its IPO and has hired Kotak Mahindra Bank, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley as its lead managers. It is likely to file draft IPO papers by the end of March. Ahead of the IPO, Prosus is planning to increase its investment in the company. Prosus is reportedly looking to invest $30 million (Rs 250 crore) in a secondary deal, allowing Bessemer Venture Partners to make a partial exit. The Abhiraj Bhal-led company concluded its last ESOP liquidity program in December 2021 at a valuation of $2.8 billion. Last year, it also completed a new buyback at a valuation of approximately $2.2 billion to $2.5 billion. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Urban Company has raised Rs 3,457.16 crore (more than $450 million) from investors including Tiger Global, Accel, Elevation Capital, and Dharana, among others. Urban Company operates in more than 60 cities across India, the UAE, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia. The company has a partner network of over 55,000 hand-picked service professionals. For the fiscal year ending in March 2024, Urban Company's revenue from operations grew 30% year-on-year to Rs 827 crore from Rs 637 crore in FY23. The Gurugram-based startup also reported a 70% decline in losses to Rs 93 crore in the last fiscal year.

Monk Entertainment’s revenue from operations recorded a modest 2.2% growth to Rs 97.8 crore in FY24 from Rs 95.8 crore in FY23, its annual financial statements filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC) show. Monk-E, a full-stack creative digital media agency, specializes in talent management, video production, social media management, and influencer marketing. In FY24, the company generated 86.6% of its revenue from India, with the rest coming from international markets. On the cost side, influencer marketing charges made up 84% of the total expenses, though the cost dipped 2% year-on-year to Rs 77.4 crore in FY24 from Rs 79 crore in FY23. Meanwhile, employee benefit expenses grew 38% to Rs 7.7 crore during the same period. Out of the total influencer marketing charges, Allahbadia and his venture BeerBiceps Media received Rs 7.77 crore for providing technical services to Monk-E. Commission, legal fees, rent, advertising, and other overheads pushed Monk-E's total costs to Rs 92 crore in FY24. Monk-E recorded a 58.9% year-on-year profit increase, with profits rising to Rs 7.23 crore in FY24 from Rs 4.55 crore in FY23. Its ROCE stood at 35.4%, while the EBITDA margin reached 7.86%. On a unit level, the company spent Re 0.94 to earn a rupee. By the end of FY24, Monk-E's total current assets were reported at Rs 28.46 crore, including Rs 5.5 crore in cash and bank balances. While it's probably too early to speculate about the impact on the firm from Allahbadia’s recent controversy, the scale of Monk-E shows how much is at stake. It is crucial for viewers to apply better discretion before believing everything they see and hear from these new-age channels.
