Unicorn India Ventures (UIV) has secured Rs 225 crore for the first close of its Rs 1,000 crore fund, which is the firm's third fund. The funds were raised from a combination of existing and US-based limited partners (LPs). UIV expects the final close of the fund to be completed by March 2024. The LPs from the US will play a strategic role in facilitating soft landings in the US for UIV's SaaS startups. The company plans to invest 20% of the new fund in 25 new startups and allocate the remaining 80% to subsequent funding rounds of existing portfolio companies.
