State-run THDC India Ltd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Maharashtra to invest โน33,600 crore in setting up six pumped storage projects in the state. The projects will have a combined capacity of 6,790 MW. The MoU aims to facilitate the development of these projects by assisting THDC in conducting surveys, obtaining clearances, and preparing detailed project reports. Maharashtra will provide water allocation necessary for the projects, and THDC is committed to submitting detailed project reports for approval.
