Telegram founder Pavel Durov arrested at French airport for 'lack of moderation' on messaging app

Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, was detained by French authorities at an airport near Paris. Durov, who had an arrest warrant issued against him, was taken into custody due to allegations of lack of moderation on the messaging app, which resulted in its use for illegal activities. The arrest warrant was issued in France as the platform was reportedly used for money laundering, drug trafficking, and the sharing of pedophilic content. Durov had not traveled to France or Europe regularly since the warrant was issued.
