Stanza Living, a managed accommodation platform for students and working professionals, turned profitable in the fiscal year ending March 2025, even as it failed to register any growth during the same period. Stanza Living’s revenue from operations declined by 6.6% to Rs 545.5 crore in FY25 from Rs 584 crore in FY24, according to its consolidated financial statement sourced from the Registrar of Companies (RoC). Stanza Living is a managed accommodation platform that provides hassle-free housing solutions for students and young professionals relocating to new cities. Revenue from these services was the sole source of income for the company. Including non-operating income of Rs 278.5 crore, Stanza Living’s total income rose to Rs 824 crore in FY25. Notably, out of Rs 278.5 crore in the other income segment, the firm booked Rs 277 crore as miscellaneous income in FY25. The details of the aforementioned amount were not provided in the financial statements. Looking at the expenses, depreciation (related to lease) remained the largest cost centre for the company and declined by 18% to Rs 215 crore in FY25. Finance cost also dropped by 27% to Rs 128 crore, while employee benefit expenses fell sharply by 41% to Rs 85 crore during the year. Electricity expenses decreased to Rs 46 crore from Rs 56 crore in FY24, while rent expenses rose to Rs 18 crore from Rs 6.5 crore in the previous fiscal year. Overall, Stanza Living’s total expenses declined by 21.5% to Rs 683 crore in FY25 from Rs 870 crore in FY24. The improvement in cost structure and an undisclosed income of Rs 277 crore helped the company report a profit of Rs 130 crore in FY25 compared to a loss of Rs 273 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin stood at -2.68% and 35.66%, respectively. On a unit basis, the company spent Rs 1.25 to earn a rupee during the fiscal year. The firm recorded cash and bank balances of Rs 5 crore, while its current assets stood at Rs 108 crore at the end of FY25. Stanza Living has raised around $231 million of funding till date, with Peak XV Partners and Accel as one of its lead investors. The company competes with the likes of Zolo, Colive, and PadSplit. The shift to profitability marked a notable phase for Stanza Living after several years of losses. While the company operates in a competitive managed accommodation market, sustaining profitability will depend on its ability to maintain stable occupancy and expand efficiently. Overall, total expenses increased at a slower pace of 18.2% to Rs 722 crore in H1 FY26 from Rs 611 crore in H1 FY25. With Amagi’s revenue outpacing the expense growth, it turned profitable in the first half of FY26 and posted a profit of Rs 6.5 crore in H1 FY26, as compared to a loss of Rs 66 crore in H1 FY25. As of September 2025, the Bengaluru-based firm reported cash and bank balances of Rs 397 crore, while its current assets stood at Rs 1,177 crore.

The bulk of the company’s revenue came from domestic services, which grew 9.5% to Rs 416 crore in FY25, while export services revenue rose 16% to Rs 74 crore. Including other income of Rs 16.5 crore, the company’s total income rose to Rs 507 crore in FY25 from Rs 460 crore a year earlier. On the cost side, Telephone and postage costs remained the largest expense, accounting for 44% of total costs. To the tune of scale, this expense increased 9% to Rs 212 crore in FY25 from Rs 195 crore in FY24. Employee benefit expenses, the second-largest cost head, declined by 21% to Rs 147 crore. Advertising and legal costs rose to Rs 12.5 crore and Rs 10 crore, respectively. Other expenses added the rest of Rs 77.5 crore. Overall, Exotel managed to bring down its total expenses by 4% to Rs 481 crore in FY25 from Rs 499 crore in FY24. The moderation in expenses and the steady revenue helped Exotel achieve profitability in the last fiscal year. The company posted a profit of Rs 20 crore in FY25, as compared to a loss of Rs 37 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin improved to 2.46% and 6.83%, respectively. On a unit basis, Exotel spent Rs 0.98 to earn a rupee during the fiscal year, an improvement from Rs 1.12 in the previous year. As of March 2025, Exotel reported cash and bank balances of Rs 131 crore, while its current assets stood at Rs 290 crore. According to TheKredible, Exotel has raised $100 million of funding to date across multiple funding rounds, and counts Blume Ventures, A91 Partners, and Sistema Asia among its backers. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, A91 Partners is the largest external stakeholder with a 25.7% stake, followed by Blume Ventures. However, despite turning profitable in FY25, Exotel has witnessed notable leadership churn. On the bottom line, Scripbox posted a profit of Rs 12.77 crore in FY25, supported by a sharp reduction in non-cash ESOP expenses. In FY24, the company had reported exceptional gains of Rs 48.8 crore from the surrender or cancellation of ESOPs, which made it appear profitable; excluding this non-cash item, Scripbox would have recorded a loss of Rs 44.7 crore in FY24. The company’s EBITDA margin and ROCE improved, turning positive at 20.47% and 14.5%, respectively. At a unit level, Scripbox spent Rs 0.89 to generate one rupee of operating revenue in FY25. Furlenco provides furniture and home decor for rent along with relocation services. Income from furniture rental services accounted for 91% of the operating revenue, which grew by 61% to Rs 208 crore in FY25. Income from the sale of products (furniture including sofas and beds), more than doubled to Rs 21 crore during the fiscal year ending March 2025. Including other non-operating activities such as treasury gains of Rs 11 crore, its total income rose to Rs 240 crore in FY25. The company streamlined its cost structure and reduced its total expense by 16% to Rs 237 crore in FY25 from Rs 282 crore in FY24. Employee benefits expenses decreased by 35% year-on-year to Rs 31 crore in FY25, while finance costs dropped 41% to Rs 19 crore in FY25. Cost of material, however, rose 33% to Rs 8 crore in FY25. Depreciation on the company’s furniture rose 29% to Rs 45 crore in FY25 from Rs 35 crore in FY24. With strong revenue growth and lower burn, Furlenco turned profitable and posted a profit of Rs 3 crore in FY25, in contrast to a loss of Rs 130 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin improved significantly to 5.68% and 24.45%, respectively. On a per-unit basis, the firm spent Rs 1.03 to earn every rupee of operating revenue, compared to Rs 2.03 in FY24. Furlenco’s current assets stood at Rs 106 crore, including cash and bank balances of Rs 32 crore in FY25. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Furlenco has raised a total of $298 m in funding till date, with Sheela Foam and Lightbox Ventures as its lead investors. The company’s founder and chief executive, Ajith Mohan Karimpana owns 12% of the company. Furlenco certainly seems to have discovered a better playbook for its business, because numbers like these looked unlikely till last year. While the concept has certainly found takers, operating costs had been too high to offer hope of such a turnaround. So credit to the team for having pulled it off.

The firm turned profitable during Q3 FY26 alongside double-digit revenue growth. Smartworks’ revenue from operations rose 34% year-on-year to Rs 472 crore in the quarter ending December 2025 from Rs 352 crore in Q3 FY25, according to its unaudited consolidated financial statements filed with the National Stock Exchange (NSE). Smartworks generated most of its revenue from developing, designing, and licensing serviced office spaces and fit-out services, with additional income from other ancillary offerings. It also booked Rs 16 crore from non-operating activities, pushing total income to Rs 488 crore in the quarter, compared to Rs 364 crore in Q3 FY25. For the nine months period, Smartworks’ revenue was up 26% to Rs 1,276 crore from Rs 1,016 crore, a year earlier. On the cost front, depreciation remained the largest expense at Rs 223 crore, followed by operating expenses of Rs 132 crore. Finance costs, employee benefits, and marketing took the total expenditure to Rs 486 crore, compared to Rs 445 crore in the same quarter last year. The decent growth in scale and cost control mechanisms helped the firm to gain profitability of Rs 1.2 crore in Q3 FY26 from a loss of Rs 16 crore a year ago. Smartworks listed on the NSE in July last year at Rs 435 per share, a 7% premium to its IPO price of Rs 407. The stock closed at Rs 474 on the last trading session, valuing the company at Rs 5,416 crore (approximately $599 million).

The equity round is coming after a gap of more than three years for the Delhi-based startup. The board at Stanza Living has passed a special resolution to issue 1,207 preference shares at a price of Rs 911440.17 each to raise Rs 110 crore, its regulatory filing accessed from the Registrar of Companies shows. Alpha Wave has pumped in Rs 83 Crore while Matrix Partners, Accel India and Peak XV invested Rs 27 crore cumulatively. As per startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Stanza Living was valued at around Rs 3,900 crore ($470 million). This is a marginal jump in valuation from Rs 3,525 crore ($424 million) in the last equity round. The firm was reportedly in talks to raise funding to the tune of $25 million. Stanza Living had raised $57 million in a debt round led by Kotak Mahindra Bank and RBL Bank in March 2022 and $100 million in an equity round in April 2021. So far, it has scooped up over $230 million across equity and debt rounds. Stanza Living is a managed accommodation platform which provides co-living solutions for working professionals and students. The firm claims to have an inventory of more than 75,000 beds in 450 plus residences with a presence across 24 cities. Stanza Living’s revenue from operations surged to Rs 442 crore in FY23 from Rs 115 crore in FY22. As per TheKredible, its losses increased by 18.71% to Rs 495 crore in FY23 as compared to Rs 417 crore in FY22. The firm is yet to file its audited financial statements for FY24. Stanza Living competes with Colive, Your Space, Settl, Union Living and Coho. Last year, Tiger Global-backed home rental startup NestAway was acquired by Aurum PropTech (formerly Majesco Ltd) in a 90% haircut in valuation to $11 million.

BharatPe’s revenue from operations grew by 16.9% to Rs 1,667 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,426 crore in FY24, its consolidated annual financials accessed by Entrackr show. Service fee income, which includes processing charges, commission on loan transactions, and rental income from the sale of machines and loudspeakers, remained the largest revenue driver for BharatPe, contributing 77.6% of operating revenue. This stream grew 15.8% year-on-year to Rs 1,456 crore in FY25. Revenue from the NBFC business rose to Rs 211 crore in FY25 from Rs 165 crore in FY24. Moreover, the company booked Rs 67 crore in non-operating income, pushing its total revenue to Rs 1,734 crore during the year. For BharatPe, transaction processing expenses accounted for 20.8% of the overall cost base at Rs 391 crore in FY25. Employee benefits remained steady at Rs 360 crore, which includes Rs 148.5 crore as ESOP (share-based payments). Its advertising spend saw a sharp 84% reduction to Rs 26 crore during the year. Other overheads, including outsourced services, merchant onboarding, and IT expenses, pushed the company’s total expenditure to Rs 1,876 crore in the fiscal year ending March 2025. The decent growth in scale, coupled with an effective cost mechanism, helped BharatPe to reduce its losses by 82.1% to Rs 88 crore in FY25 from Rs 492 crore in FY24. Notably, BharatPe reported a positive EBITDA of Rs 47 crore in FY25. Stripping out ESOP-related expenses, the company’s adjusted EBITDA would stand at Rs 195.5 crore for the year. BharatPe’s ROCE and EBITDA margins also improved to -3.8% and 2.82% respectively, in FY25. On a unit level, it spent Rs 1.13 to earn a rupee in FY25. At the end of the previous fiscal year, the company had total current assets of Rs 2,685 crore with cash and bank balances of Rs 872 crore. Earlier this month, BharatPe facilitated its first secondary transaction since 2021 at a valuation of $2.85 billion. To date, the fintech unicorn has raised over $650 million in equity and debt from investors such as Tiger Global, Dragoneer Investment Group, Steadfast Capital, Coatue, and others.

The turnaround, however, comes at a time when the company has had to shut down its real-money gaming (RMG) operations in India. Gaming remained the primary revenue driver, contributing $165.8 million, while the rest came from advertising and other operating activities. India was the largest market, accounting for around 60% of total revenue, followed by Europe and the US. Its German subsidiary, GameDuell Studios, a wholly owned unit, contributed nearly $60 million revenue in FY25. Advertising formed the largest expense, making up 42% of the total and rising 32.8% to $70 million. The company managed to trim employee benefit expenses by 20.5% to Rs 364 crore, while other operating costs, including payment gateway, server hosting, and professional fees, pushed total expenditure to $166.2 million (Rs 1,419 crore) in FY25. M League reported a net profit of $4.2 million (Rs 36.5 crore) in FY25, a sharp turnaround from a loss of $44.8 million (Rs 383 crore) in FY24. Its EBITDA margin turned positive at 2.45% during the last fiscal year. While FY25 marked a milestone year, the company’s outlook in India remains uncertain after the government’s move to outlaw real-money gaming. A company spokesperson told Entrackr that the latest results highlight the benefits of M League’s diversified strategy. “We didn’t put all our eggs into the India RMG basket. We have bought ourselves time and can act from a place of near-EBITDA breakeven at a group level while continuing to invest in growth areas such as GameDuell, Xsquads, and other ventures,” the spokesperson added. GameDuell grew 64% during FY25, while M League had already made early inroads into the US and Brazil by March 2025. International expansion is part of the company’s long-term vision to host a digital Olympics with players from across nations. M League maintained that its global portfolio gives it the flexibility to balance investment and returns. GameDuell has been profitable for years despite its rapid growth, and at the group level, M League has the ability to generate EBITDA whenever it chooses. M League refrained from sharing near-term projections, stating that it is too early to forecast annualized revenue after shutting down its India operations.
