SpaceX is close to certifying its second launch pad for astronaut missions at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Currently, all crewed missions are launched from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, but the addition of a second pad would help alleviate congestion and increase the number of humans SpaceX can send into space. The company has installed a crew access arm and an emergency egress system, including a long orange slide, to ensure safe access and escape options for astronauts. SpaceX plans to use the upgraded pad for its upcoming CRS-30 cargo resupply mission, which will be a precursor to future crew missions.
