Snap-E Cabs wants to take on big players in Kolkata with its on-demand EV fleet

Kolkata-based electric ride-hailing platform Snap-E Cabs aims to disrupt the taxi market in the city. With a fleet of over 600 Tata Tigors, the company offers on-demand electric rides to customers. It initially started as an EV charging network before pivoting to ride-hailing. The company has experienced rapid growth, with over 30,000 app downloads within two weeks of its launch. Snap-E Cabs generates over Rs 2 crore in revenue per month and plans to close the current financial year with an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of Rs 35 crore. It also partners with EV companies for battery replacements and has exclusive access to over 700 charging points in Kolkata. The company aims to expand its fleet and enter new markets in the future.
