Smart Garage, an AI-driven auto-service marketplace, has raised Rs 2.4 crore in a Pre-Series A funding round as part of its plan to raise a total of Rs 15 crore. The firm plans to raise the remaining Rs 12.6 crore over the next 12–18 months to fuel expansion and achieve a Rs 80 crore revenue run rate by the end of FY27. However, it did not disclose the names of the investors. Entrackr has reached out to Smart Garage for more information. The proceeds will be used to enhance its AI capabilities, expand its partner network, and strengthen integrations with OEMs, insurance firms, and fleet operators. Founded by Pawan Singh Raghuvanshi, Smart Garage operates a B2B2C platform connecting workshops, vehicle owners, insurers, and fleet operators through a digital ecosystem. The startup has built a network of over 500 partner garages across tier I and tier II cities and plans to scale this to over 10,000 workshops by 2030. Smart Garage uses AI and SaaS tools for vehicle diagnostics, damage assessment, predictive maintenance, and workflow automation for garages. The brand follows a hybrid revenue model driven by franchise operations and spare parts supply, with plans to introduce SaaS subscriptions and commission-based models.

Exclusive: Battery Smart kicks off pre-Series C funding round Battery Smart has initiated its pre-Series C funding round. While the size of the round is unknown, Acacia Inclusion, Blume Ventures and PC-SBI Kurashi Visionary Fund have already invested over $7 million. According to its regulatory filings with the Registrar of Companies, the board of Battery Smart has passed a special resolution to allot 12,158 pre-Series C compulsory convertible preference shares at an issue price of Rs 54,407 each for Rs 66 crore (approximately $7.4 million). Acacia Inclusion led the round with an investment of Rs 36.3 crore, followed by PC-SBI Kurashi Visionary Fund with Rs 17.8 crore, while Blume Ventures joined the pre Series C round with Rs 12 crore. The proceeds will be used to support business expansion, capital expenditure, working capital requirements, and other general corporate purposes, as per filings. Battery Smart offers lithium-ion batteries for electric two- and three-wheelers that can be swapped within minutes at its network of swapping stations. Through its battery-as-a-service (BaaS) model, the company enables users, particularly gig economy drivers, to avoid the upfront cost of owning batteries. To date, Battery Smart has raised around $192 million in funding, including its $65 million Series B round and $29 million extended Series B round. Its cap table includes prominent investors such as Tiger Global, Blume Ventures, and Ecosystem Integrity Fund. On the financial front, the company reported a 52% year-on-year increase in operating revenue to Rs 249 crore in FY25, up from Rs 164 crore in FY24. Battery Smart also stated that it has achieved operating break-even and turned EBITDA positive.

EV battery manufacturer Neuron Energy has raised Rs 31 crore ($3.5 million) in a pre-Series B funding round co-led by Equanimity Ventures, Rajiv Dadlani Group, Thackersay Family Office, and Chona Family Office, along with participation from other family offices and HNI investors. The Mumbai-based company had previously raised Rs 20 crore in a Series A round co-led by the Chona Family and Capri Global Family Office in August last year. With this pre-Series B investment, Neuron Energy has raised a total of Rs 80 crore to date. The fresh capital will be used to expand its manufacturing capacity to 3 GWh and establish a fully automated, state-of-the-art facility for electric four-wheelers and buses. It will also be used to strengthen R&D capabilities, accelerate domestic growth, and expand the company’s footprint in international markets, Neuron Energy said in a press release. Founded in 2018 by Pratk Kamdar, Neuron Energy manufactures electric vehicle (EV) batteries and offers a wide range of mobility solutions powered by advanced lithium-ion technologies. The company is also actively developing next-generation sodium-ion solutions. It focuses on quality, innovation, and sustainability, aiming to drive the next wave of growth in India’s clean mobility sector. Neuron Energy said it has developed smart battery management systems and innovation-led products, and that its new facility reinforces its leadership in the two-wheeler EV battery segment. The company also plans a strategic entry into heavier vehicle categories. Neuron Energy added that it operates on a low-CapEx and low-OpEx business model, enabling strong operating leverage. The company claims to have been growing profitably year-on-year and is on track to achieve Rs 200 crore in revenue this year. It aspires to surpass Rs 900 crore in sales, with continued profitability, over the next few years.
