Semiconductor startup Sensesemi raises Rs 25 Cr led by Piper Serica Fabless semiconductor startup Sensesemi Technologies has raised Rs 25 crore (approximately $2.75 million) in a seed funding round led by Piper Serica, with participation from LetsVenture Angel Fund, Sun Icon Ventures, MyAsiaVC, Whitepine Investments, Jain Oncor, REAN Foundation, Niraj Shah, Deepak Khanna, and others. The proceeds will be used to advance product development, including chip tape-outs and reference design creation, expand its engineering team, and build strategic partnerships with device manufacturers and ODMs, Sensesemi said in a press release. Co-founded in 2014 by Vijay Muktamath and Namit Varma, Sensesemi Technologies is a DLI-approved fabless semiconductor company building integrated edge-AI silicon for industrial IoT, automotive, and medical device applications. The company designs ultra-low-power system-on-chips that combine AI inferencing, wireless connectivity, and precision analog signal processing on a single platform, enabling intelligent, secure, and energy-efficient edge devices. According to the Bengaluru-based company, it focuses on owning core chip design IP and developing next-generation silicon solutions that support long battery life, real-time on-device intelligence, and scalable deployment across global markets, addressing the growing demand for high-performance edge processing. Sensesemi stated that it is developing an analog AI inference processor to further reduce power consumption in battery-operated and implantable devices. Analog-domain AI inferencing allows the company to achieve significant improvements in power efficiency, enabling multi-year battery life without sacrificing intelligence or reliability. As per market research, the global edge-AI chipset market is projected to reach an annual volume of 5–7 billion units by 2030. Sensesemi’s integrated edge-AI chips are designed for a broad range of applications across several high-growth sectors, including industrial IoT (predictive maintenance, vision-based quality checks, and environmental monitoring), automotive (multi-sensor ADAS, driver monitoring, and predictive diagnostics), and medical devices (cardiac monitoring, neurostimulation, and smart drug delivery solutions). The company competes with other notable players in this space such as Netrasemi, Hrdwyr, Edgecortix, and Blumind, among others.

Rupeeflo raises $1 Mn from Piper Serica Fintech startup Rupeeflo has raised $1 million in funding in a pre-seed round led by Piper Serica Angel Fund. Fintech veterans including Ravi Shankar (co-founder of Active AI), Kishore Natarajan, and Kedar Kulkarni (co-founder of Hyperverge) also participated in the maiden round. Rupeeflo will use the funding to roll out a full-stack NRI investment platform, introduce instant UPI access, and expand its global presence. Founded in 2024 by Dharmendra Maurya, Ashish Jha, and Manav Bharambe, Rupeeflo streamlines banking and investing for NRIs in India. Starting with the U.S. and U.K., it aims to expand across global NRI hubs. With Rupeeflo, NRIs can now digitally apply for an NRE/NRO account in less than 10 minutes and have easy and paperless access to stock markets, mutual funds, and index funds without regulatory headaches. “We see this as one of the biggest untapped opportunities in fintech. In the USA alone, NRIs have over $300 billion in low-yield savings overseas because investing in India has been too complex. We are fixing the problem so that they can participate in India's future instead of just watching from the sidelines,” said Ashish Jha. Piper Serica is an asset manager investing in India’s public and private markets. It manages a SEBI-registered PMS, advises a Mauritius-based offshore fund, and runs the Piper Serica Angel Fund for early-stage startups, overseeing over Rs 1,000 crore in assets.

Coratia Technologies raises Rs 5 Cr led by Piper Serica Angel Fund Deep tech startup Coratia Technologies, an indigenous underwater robotics company, has raised Rs 5 crore (around $563,000) in a funding round led by Piper Serica Angel Fund. Its existing investors include MGF Kavachh and Pontaq Ventures, which jointly invested over Rs 17 crore in July 2025 to support India’s strategic autonomy in underwater and subsea robotics. The fresh funding follows Coratia’s recent Rs 66 crore contract from the Indian Navy for its indigenously developed Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (UWROV) named Jalasimha. The proceeds will be used to strengthen in-house research and development, expand manufacturing capacity, upgrade product lines, and explore international markets, the company said in a press release. Co-founded by Debendra Pradhan and Biswajit Swain, Coratia Technologies is incubated at NIT Rourkela and develops advanced autonomous underwater vehicles for defence and industrial applications. Its flagship systems include Jalasimha, Jaladuta, Oceanus and Navya. The Odisha-based startup has executed projects with the Indian Railways and IOCL Paradip. It was also recently invited to Brunei Darussalam, one of Southeast Asia’s largest oil producers, to demonstrate its robotic systems for subsea inspections and maintenance of offshore energy infrastructure. “This investment supports our vision to transform underwater robotics and strengthen India’s position in the global blue economy. Our focus is on building a global supply chain from India and exporting indigenously developed capabilities that address both strategic and commercial needs,” said Debendra Pradhan, co-founder and CEO of Coratia Technologies.
