Satellite servicing tech startup, led by former head of Ukraine's space agency, lands $4M

Ukrainian startup Kurs Orbital has secured additional funding to advance its satellite servicing technology. The two-year-old company aims to provide capabilities such as satellite relocation, inspection, de-orbiting, and space debris removal. Rather than offering these services directly, Kurs plans to become the main supplier of rendezvous and docking technology via its "ARCap" module. Based on the Soviet-era Kurs rendezvous system, the ARCap module can attach to "non-cooperative" targets without any hardware pre-installed. Kurs aims to have its first module ready for space in late 2025. The €3.7m seed round was led by OTB Ventures, with other participants including Credo Ventures and In-Q-Tel.
