However, Altman did confirm that there would be announcements about ChatGPT and GPT-4 at an upcoming event. Reports had previously suggested that OpenAI was preparing to launch its search engine, with speculation that it would rival Google's dominance. While the launch may not happen immediately, OpenAI has been reportedly hiring Google employees to work on their search product. In addition to OpenAI, Google also faces competition from AI startup Perplexity.
