Salesforce, its partners expected to create 1.8 million new jobs in India by 2028: IDC report

Salesforce and its ecosystem in India are projected to create 1.8 million jobs and generate $88.6 billion in revenues from 2022 to 2028, driven by AI, according to research firm IDC. The company has introduced a new division focused on AI-led transformation solutions for government agencies in India and aims to address data storage and security needs in the public sector. Salesforce believes that AI models will play a crucial role in enabling government agencies to extract insights from large amounts of data. The company's foray into the public sector is part of its growth strategy in India, where it has seen 35% year-on-year growth. Additionally, Salesforce plans to roll out a platform for digital lending in India.
