Rural commerce startup Rozana raises $22.5M in funding led by BII, others

Rural commerce startup Rozana has secured $22.5 million in funding led by Bertelsmann India Investments (BII) to transform rural ecommerce in India. The company plans to use the funds to expand its warehousing and logistics capabilities, enhance its technology platform, and grow its team. Founded in 2021, Rozana operates across 13 districts in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, utilising village-based "peer partners" for last-mile delivery. The company aims to empower rural India by providing essential goods to underserved markets and creating additional income opportunities for partners. The funding will also enable Rozana to collaborate with xto10x Technologies for warehouse design and expansion strategies.
