Leading two-wheeler manufacturers in India, including Hero Moto, Honda Motor, TVS Motor, and Bajaj Auto, have assured the Transport Minister that they are prepared to mass-produce flex fuel vehicles. These vehicles can run on a blend of up to 85% ethanol and petrol, and the companies have requested a lower cost of fuel for such vehicles. They have also sought a clearer roadmap for the nationwide rollout of ethanol-blended fuel and a reduced GST rate on flex-fuel two-wheelers. These vehicles are designed to run on more than one type of fuel.
