The round saw participation from existing backers Anthill Ventures, Suresh Babu Daggubati, Gaurav Marya, Mohnish Yerra, among others. The Hyderabad-based company had earlier raised $1.86 million from Anthill Ventures and other investors. The fresh capital will be used to expand operations to new cities, including Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Surat, and Chandigarh, by the end of this year, WeHouse said in a press release. Founded in 2017 by Sripad Nandiraj and Rohan Vinayak Reddy, WeHouse is a prop-tech startup that provides tech-led solutions for home construction and reconstruction. It operates as an aggregator platform, bringing together all stakeholders in the construction process—architects, contractors, material suppliers, engineers, and skilled labour. Its services cover the entire construction journey, from approvals and design (architectural and structural) to project execution and interiors. The company also offers a tech-driven monitoring system that provides clients with real-time visibility into their projects. According to market research, India’s residential construction market is projected to reach $373 billion by 2030. At present, WeHouse operates in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Vijayawada. The company claims to have executed more than 400 projects, delivered 250, and currently has an order book worth Rs 150 crore. Its revenue model includes charging customers on a per sq. ft. basis (with commissions varying by city), selling materials to contractors, and providing on-demand interior design services. WeHouse competes with players such as Brick&Bolt, which is active in both residential and commercial construction across cities including Hyderabad and Chennai.

Business-to-business procurement marketplace ProcMart has raised Rs 25 crore ($3 million) in its pre-Series B round from Sixth Sense Ventures India. The board at ProcMart has issued 5,933 pre-series B CCPS at an issue price of Rs 42,127 each to raise Rs 25 crore, its regulatory filing soured from the RoC shows. Previously, the startup had raised $10 million in its Series A round led by Sixth Sense Ventures in November 2022. Following the fresh proceeds, Sixth Sense became the largest external stakeholder with 30% stake in ProcMart while its founder and chief executive officer Anish Popli will command 41.76% of the company. As per the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, the latest capital injection has been done at a valuation, which is Rs 275 crore. Founded in 2015 by Anish Popli, the IndiaMART-backed startup provides supply chain solutions and infrastructure to businesses including services such as purchase order management, contract administration, master data management, e-catalogue management and market intelligence. ProcMart’s clients include Colgate, Mondelez, Harman, and Vedanta. It has 13 offices in India and one in Malaysia. The company also launched white-label in 2022 to provide construction equipment. The Noida-based company recently announced a strategic collaboration with local vendors in the biomass briquettes and pellets manufacturing sector. It competes with Lightspeed Ventures-backed Udaan in the B2B supply chain space.

PayPal Ventures-backed Mintoak secures Rs 71 Cr in secondary funding Mintoak, a merchant SaaS platform catering to banks and merchant acquirers, has raised Rs 71 crore (around $8.2 million) in a secondary funding round led by Z3Partners. As part of this transaction, Z3Partners will acquire a minority stake from some of Mintoak’s early institutional investors. However, the company did not disclose the names of the investors involved in the secondary transaction. In February 2023, the Mumbai-based startup raised $20 million in its Series A funding round led by PayPal Ventures and others. In December 2022, HDFC Bank acquired a minority stake in the Mumbai-based fintech startup Mintoak for a cash consideration of $3.7 million. It then increased its stake to 7.75% from the current 5.20%. The Mumbai-based firm has raised Rs 192 crore (nearly $25 million) to date. Founded by Raman Khanduja, Rama Tadepalli, and Sanjay Nazareth, the company’s product suite includes a range of SaaS offerings that help banks and merchant acquirers connect with their small and medium enterprise (SME) customers and drive the cross-sell of financial products. The seven-year-old firm claims to serve over 1.5 million merchants across leading banks, including HDFC Bank, SBI, and YES Bank in India and international markets such as Africa and the Middle East. The startup enables merchant acquirers to deploy and rapidly scale their SME base through payments, cross-selling, service, and gamified loyalty campaigns. Mintoak claims to have empowered 3 million merchants across 6 countries in South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Mintoak registered Rs 72.59 crore in revenue from operations in FY24 against Rs 42.3 crore in FY23. During the period, its losses jumped twofold to Rs 21.45 crore. Z3Partners invests in high-growth, tech-driven companies across India, focusing on sectors such as consumer tech, fintech, healthtech, SaaS, and tech-enabled businesses. The firm’s portfolio includes companies like Altum Credo, Bhanzu, DealShare, Shipsy, TrueFan, among others. Some of its prior investments have been Bigbasket, OfBusiness, and others.

B2B delivery and shared mobility startup Zypp Electric raised $14 million shortly after the end of FY24, driven by consistent growth fueled by the rise of quick commerce and food delivery. The Gurugram-based firm reported a 2.6X increase in scale, with total revenue surpassing Rs 300 crore during the fiscal year ending March 2024. Zypp Electric’s revenue from operations surged to Rs 293 crore in FY24, up from Rs 109 crore in FY23, according to its standalone financial statements accessed by Entrackr from the Registrar of Companies. Founded by Akash Gupta and Rashi Agrawal in 2017, Zypp Electric is an EV-as-a-service platform offering electric vehicle rentals along with delivery services through its e-scooter fleet for gig workers. The company claims to have around 22,000 active vehicles in its fleet, with 15,000 in Delhi NCR, 4,000 in Bengaluru, and 1,200 in Mumbai. Income from vehicle rentals and delivery services was the primary revenue source for Zypp Electric. The company has not disclosed a breakdown of its revenue for FY24. However, in FY23, 76% of revenue came from delivery services, with the remainder from vehicle rentals. It also offers advertising solutions on its scooters and helmets, though it appears this has not yet generated significant revenue for the firm. Reflecting its growth, Zypp Electric’s total expenditure surged 2.6X to Rs 394 crore in FY24, compared to Rs 152 crore in FY23. Employee benefits and rent-repairs rose by 2.1X and 3.9X, respectively, in FY24. Zypp Electric didn’t disclose a detailed breakdown of other expenses, listing Rs 274 crore under miscellaneous, which likely includes payments to riders, legal fees, advertising, and other operational expenses.
