Pantomath's Bharat Value Fund strikes fresh bet in local diaper maker

- Bharat Value Fund, managed by Pantomath, has invested Rs 122 crore in Millennium Babycares Pvt. Ltd, the operator of the BumTum brand. - Millennium is the first Indian manufacturer to set up Japanese lines, allowing the company to cater to various segments in the Indian and international markets. - Millennium specializes in baby care, femcare, and adult care products and sells under the BumTum, Elduro, and Freeme brands through omni-channel sales. - The investment will support BumTum's market expansion in India and internationally, particularly through general trade and export markets. - Millennium reported a revenue of Rs 585 crore in FY24, growing at a CAGR of 53% from FY20 to FY24. The company produces 4 million baby diapers, 500,000 sanitary napkins, and 100,000 adult diapers daily. - Bharat Value Fund aims to raise close to Rs 2,000 crore ($240 million) and has previously enjoyed successful exits and returns from its portfolio companies.
