Over 55% companies in APAC hit by cyber attack in last 12 months: Dell

A recent report by Dell Technologies reveals that cyberattacks in the Asia Pacific region have increased, with 57% of companies reporting a cyberattack in the past year. The monetary impact of these attacks has also skyrocketed, with costs averaging $1.4 million. The study found that many organizations lack confidence in their ability to protect against ransomware and recover from destructive cyberattacks. Despite this, companies continue to invest more in cyber prevention rather than recovery. The rise of remote work due to the pandemic has also increased the risk of data loss. In response, organizations are seeking professional services and conducting regular cyber recovery testing to strengthen their cyber resilience.
