Electric car sales are on the rise, with projections suggesting they could reach around 17 million in 2024, accounting for over 20% of global car sales. In 2023, sales of electric cars reached nearly 14 million, marking a 35% year-on-year increase. China, Europe, and the United States were the leading markets for electric car sales. However, emerging economies like Vietnam and Thailand also experienced growth in electric car sales. Policy measures, subsidies, and incentives are driving the growth of electric car adoption in various countries. Despite concerns about tight margins and fluctuations in battery metal prices, the electric car industry remains robust.
