Nvidia workers warned CEO Jensen Huang that AI might be harmful to minorities. One was so dissatisfied with his response that she quit shortly after.

Two Nvidia employees met CEO Jensen Huang in 2020 to express concerns about the potential negative impact of AI on minorities. Bloomberg reports that both employees were dissatisfied with Huang's response and subsequently left the company. One of the employees, Masheika Allgood, cited Nvidia's lack of leadership in addressing the issue as the reason for her departure. Allgood and Alexander Tsado, former presidents of the company's Black employees group, highlighted the potential disproportionate impacts of AI on minority groups, including the potential bias in facial recognition technology used in self-driving cars.
